ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT FOR
INDUCTION INTO QUILL AND SCROLL
- Be enrolled in a yearbook or newspaper class
at Dayton High School
- Class rank in the top third
- Pay $15.00 yearly dues
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS -
Yearly Dues - $15.00 (includes a t-shirt for each member and honor cords for
seniors)
- Attendance at least five meetings
- 15 after-school service hours the newspaper or
yearbook
- Participation in fundraisers and special
events
- Completion of all assignments for newspaper or
yearbook
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR
WEARING HONOR CORDS AT GRADUATION
- Be enrolled in a yearbook or newspaper class
at Dayton High School
- Class rank in the top third
- Attendance at five regularly scheduled
meetings
- 15 after-school service hours for newspaper or
yearbook
- Participation in scheduled fundraisers and
special events
- Completion of all assignments for newspaper or
yearbook
ELIGIBILITY FOR QUILL AND
SCROLL SCHOLARSHIP
- Only those seniors eligible to wear honor cords at
graduation are eligible to apply for the scholarship
- Scholarship money will be issued after recipient
shows proof of passing a journalism-related college course
- Scholarship amount and number of scholarships
awarded is based on the amount of money raised during the school year by Quill
and Scroll members
